The Order of the Old Well is an honorary organization founded in 1949 by a group of students and faculty at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill to honor students for exemplary and otherwise unrecognized service to the university. Membership in the Order has been open to both male and female students from its founding. Records include minutes, annual reports, membership lists, and other files relating to the selection and induction of members into the Order of the Old Well.
